Bear devils

Infrastructure and Utilities 2016 Where’s The Bear Challenge goes live on 11th July 2016 and is hoping to beat the 2014 total raised of £32k. This year we are looking for volunteers to take part in a new element of the challenge called ‘Bear Devils’.

If you regularly take part in adrenaline sport or activity, and if it’s practical to do so, then the Challenge Team would love you to take the bear along on your adventures and raise sponsorship in the process. Half of any money raised can be donated to a local good cause of your choice with the other half going to the Kier Foundation for reinvestment in other deserving causes. This year we are opening this element of the event up to the wider group to take part in, offering a Red Letter Experience Voucher to the individual who takes part in the most extreme activity - but bear in mind (no pun intended!) that we will require photographic evidence to prove it!

If you are interested in taking on the Bear Devils Challenge please contact ii10kchallenge@kier.co.uk

Or if you would like to follow the main Integrating Infrastructure Challenge or pledge your support to this years’ event which will see the Panda Bear relayed around 33 of our sites using non-conventional means of transport, please take a look at this blog where you can take a look at this year’s proposal, view an MPV of the proposed route of the bear in BIM and look back at the successful events of 2014. We will be regularly updating this Challenge Blog and using #KierWTB we will be bringing you a timeline of events as they unfold.

Don’t forget that we want to keep you and the bear in one piece. Any activities you organise must be professionally managed and sufficiently insured to enable you to safely take part.
